About this policy

ViaTouch Media Inc. provides VICKI Operator to authorized operators who manage VICKI machines. This policy explains how we handle information through the Operator app and related operational services. Customer purchases and other ViaTouch services may also have separate privacy notices.

Information we collect and use

We process operator account and access information, such as names, email addresses, organization permissions, and authentication information. The app accesses machine and operational records, including inventory, restocking activity, transactions, and related media, according to your permissions.

We also process information you submit through available app features, such as product details, selected images, and support requests, and technical information such as app and operating-system versions, installation identifiers, errors, performance information, and usage events. Expo services use a randomly generated installation identifier to associate update and diagnostic records with an installation of the app; this is distinct from an advertising identifier.

Device permissions and local storage

Camera access supports QR and barcode scanning. Photo access supports selecting images for app features. You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Optional biometric sign-in uses your device’s authentication facilities; the app does not receive your fingerprint or facial template. The app stores session information and preferences on your device to support sign-in and app operation.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate operators, manage access, display authorized machine records, perform requested operations, provide support, protect the service, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability and functionality. Operator information may be linked with machine and other ViaTouch service records for these operational purposes.

Customer transaction data and advertising

Operator activity and information can affect and be combined with VICKI machine and customer transaction records. ViaTouch uses anonymous customer transaction data for advertising; that data may reflect operator activity and its effects on machine operations and transactions. These data flows are connected, rather than separate. The advertising use described here concerns anonymous customer transaction data, not advertising directed at operators based on their personal information.

When information is shared

We share information with authorized personnel and service providers as needed to operate and support the service, including app delivery, updates, hosting, and diagnostics. The app uses Expo services and Sentry diagnostics. Access to operational records depends on organization permissions.

We may also disclose information to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the business. These disclosures are distinct from selling operator information or using it for advertising.

Retention and deletion

We retain personal information while your account is active or as needed to provide requested services. We may retain information as necessary to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

You can request account or personal-information deletion by emailing support@viatouchmedia.com. Identify the Operator account and organization involved, without sending passwords or sign-in codes. Deleting an operator account does not necessarily delete machine or business transaction records, information belonging to other people, or copies already shared with others. Retention remains subject to the purposes described above.

Your requests and choices

For access, correction, deletion, or questions about how your information is used, contact support@viatouchmedia.com. Privacy rights may vary depending on where you live. You can also manage device permissions through your device settings.

Security and international processing

We use safeguards intended to protect personal information and limit access to people who need it to provide and support our services. No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and credentials and do not share access codes.

ViaTouch is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our services and providers operate.

Children

VICKI Operator is intended for authorized machine operators. ViaTouch does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services and practices change. We will publish the revised policy with an updated date. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice or email notification and obtain consent where required.
